At either Chez Manon or Au Pain de Manon — two authentic Parisian bakeries that practice the traditional arts of French baking and pastry — you’ll discover what makes French breads so…French!
Learn from an expert baker how to properly prepare bread dough to get that characteristic flavor, the best crumb, and a golden crust. As you knead your dough or apply butter to croissant layers, you’ll hear stories about the evolution of French baking, as well as interesting facts you can use to impress friends when you return from your trip.
Taste different baguettes and learn how to differentiate them. Discover the history of the “financial,” a small cake with a particular flavor. Face the shocking truth that the chocolate croissant is really an American invention.
You’ll even get to know the difference between bread flours, yeast and sourdough, how to laminate dough, and baguette-shaping techniques.
We’ll have sweet and savory tastings along the way so you can learn how flavor leads the art of baking.
In just two hours, you’ll have the French baking know-how and manufacturing secrets that some expert bakers spend years learning. Think rolling and puffing your own croissant dough is too difficult? Prepare to be amazed by what you learn!

Reviews
It was a brilliant experience learning what happens in a French bakery with Jesse. We got to make baguettes and make some French pastries and roll some croissants! It was fantastic.
